Ayaka Lizzy, or just Lizzy, is the daughter to a foreign ambassador and student at the Central Education Complex. The Ayaka family has lived for years within the city of Negagoth and well respected by the community. She is a distinguished guest of Samsomtech’s. As such, she enjoys a level of liberty about the Sector city that few beyond staff ever experience. Her family handles securing much of the raw material required to rebuild life in the Sector Cities, including Negagoth.
Despite her family's reputation, it hasn’t stopped her from challenging her host's intentions. Lizzy is also a Tinkerer, and has been for years. She believes that everyone holds the creativity and kindness to deserve a better quality of life and everyone has the faculty to be educated and elevated from their station. Mina became her protégé and good friend, despite not having known each other long. Mina is so innocent and curious, it’s hard to feel anything but sympathy for her. Lizzy, by close with Mina also can study the super computer, Control. If an AI could raise a child, what else might it do?
For these reasons Lizzy has encouraged Mina to join the tinkerers. Mina's previous builds had been remarkable, her ‘Gizmo’ would surely be of help. Now all she had to do was convince the other tinkerers of that.
